Is this a religion?

There are no rules, beliefs or religious aspects to this meditation and there is no need to change your life to practice Nowspace meditation. You don't even have to sit in a specific position. If you belong to a faith or practice a religion, this technique will not interfere with your practice.

Will I have to change my lifestyle?

You don't have to change a thing. To get the most from Nowspace meditation, all you have to do is make time for regular practice.

Nowspace meditation techniques are used with your eyes closed for 20 minutes, 2 -3 times a day. But a significant and unique aspect is the ability to go about your day using the techniques with your eyes open. It is one thing to close your eyes and experience peace and contentment but it is a completely different thing to have that experience of peace, clarity, contentment and joy as you do the things you do everyday.

Are these mantras or breathing exercises?

The techniques are not mantras or breathing exercises designed to drown out thinking, but rather magical phrases that gently disengage the mind from thinking. They allow you to experience your true nature and rest in the present moment, now.

Will this meditation stop the thoughts coming?

Thoughts are a natural aspect of our existence and they will always keep flowing naturally. Nowspace meditation gently and swiftly allows us to develop a different relationship with those thoughts. The thoughts will continue to come but we become less and less identified with them.

Over the years we have found that when someone pays for a meditation course they are substantially more committed to maintaining their meditation practice and routine relative to those that have not paid. The most rapid way to experience peace, contentment and happiness is through routine and commitment.

The income derived from each course covers travel, accommodation and administration costs associated with teaching Nowspace meditation. Although we are based in Auckland and Blenheim, we travel throughout New Zealand and Australia delivering this teaching. The teachers of Nowspace meditation do not individually benefit financially from teaching this technique.

We are also committed to supporting anyone who learns Nowspace meditation for no additional cost. We are available on telephone, email, skype and we provide weekly meetings and meditation days in some locations. We encourage anyone who learns to re-sit any course at no cost as many times as they can.
